2. What actually moves the price

  • Purity: A batch at 99.4% costs materially more to manufacture than one at 97.2%. Cheaper vials are almost always lower purity — the difference shows up on the HPLC trace, not on the label.

  • No batch-specific COA: A generic PDF that is not tied to a lot number is not a COA — it is marketing.
  • No mass-spec identity: HPLC purity without mass-spec confirmation only tells you how clean the vial is, not that it is the right peptide.
  • Rounded purity claims: Real analytical results have decimals. '99%' on the label with no chromatogram behind it is a red flag.
